Nabz
Nestled amid the tranquil landscapes of Quebec's Laurentians, Nabz draws inspiration both from the ever-changing beauty that surrounds her and from the travels that have marked her journey. The rhythms of nature guide her creative process, allowing her to give birth to works that resonate with organic harmony and profound sensitivity.
An instinctive and intuitive artist, she works primarily in acrylic and pastel, two mediums she layers and blends to create vibrant, luminous, and lively textures. Her practice is also distinguished by the delicate integration of dried paint recovered from her old canvases or palettes. These fragments, imbued with memories, add memory, continuity, and soul to each work.
At the heart of her artistic universe, Nabz seeks to highlight the colors of the environment—those of landscapes, emotions, and moments that mark everyday life. She explores the boundary between the abstract and the tangible, between what the eye sees and what the heart feels.
